Last week was one of those better left behind. New Kitty was killed, a red hen disappeared, a chick was killed and the hot water heater broke and we ended up with gallons of water in the closet and hall! Lots of sadness and irritation but life goes on. The animals and ranch life is more controlled by nature and that is sometimes hard to except. Learn and move on. When bad things happen it seems to give us a renewed faith for the good and the ability to recognize it.
Life in the country does not always offer explanation but always promises better days.
This morning God gave us a beautiful summer rain shower!
It is so needed. As the water washes down the paths to the pond, so goes our bad turn. Today is the beginning of a new week and new promises.
